Tip-a-ty-ya-yay, yee haw!

Gianna went to a friend's 6th birthday party - cowgirl theme. It was a ton of fun, neigh!

Holy Hair, Batgirl!

Angelina will be having holy communion soon. She made her chair banner.

I wanted to test the hairdo. I was able to do it! Almost too bridelike for our liking, but she does look nice.

Hero Rat!

I've been meaning to post one of the girls' favorite websites and charities. www.herorat.org No wonder they like it...it's all about land mine sniffing rats in Africa. I thought it was really clever to train the rats. Watch the video. I think I first heard about it on, you guessed it, PBS.

Rodentgirl

Very little will bring an excited expression to Angelina's face....

...unless it is a very little white footed mouse.

A and G hanging out with the Komodo Dragon, a favorite.

I feel corny.

I watched Independent Lens' "King Corn" last night on PBS. God, I love PBS. Anyway, it really got me to thinking and looking and talking to the kids about what we eat. It's a LOT of corn. One item that really floored me was the amount of acreage of inedible corn we grow in the US. Check out www.kingcorn.net and watch it. I've already found a grass fed farm here in MA, too bad the Allens are out of business. Argh.

Washington, D.C. in April

With Pop Pop at Cafe Italia. Charlie was working at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial and we got to connect with him on our trip.

Nonnie and A at the George Washington Tomb at Mt. Vernon.

A bad picture of the girls on the mall with the Capitol (and a walker??).
